Российская государственная библиотека по искусству приглашает принять участие в научной конференции Шестые Международные Михоэлсовские чтения, которые пройдут 24-25 ноября 2009 г. Конференция 2007 года продолжает рассмотрение научной проблемы «Национальный театр в контексте многонациональной культуры». Театроведы, филологи, библиографы, сотрудники библиотек, музеев, архивов, а также книговеды, редакторы и издатели, журналисты, преподаватели и другие специалисты, занимающиеся проблемами национального театра и межнациональных театральных связей, приглашаются принять участие в Чтениях.
The International conference Dialogue of generations in the context of Slavic and Jewish cultural traditionswill be held on December, 2-4, 2009 at the Institute of Slavic Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. In 2003 the following lectures were delivered within the framework of the series: Catherine the Great and the Jews Lecturer: Alexander B. Kamenskii (Ph.D. in History, Professor, Chair of Russian History at the Russian State University for the Humanities). The lecture was devoted to the earliest history of the Russian Jewry, when a great number of Jews first appeared in Russia, and the Jewish Pale of Settlement was first set. The lecturer illuminated the circumstances of development of the governmental policies regarding the Jews, and the emergence of the “Jewish question” in Russia. Russian Jews between the Reds and the Whites Lecturer: Oleg V. Budnitskii (Ph.D. in History, Senior Fellow, the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Academic Director, the International Center for Russian & East European Jewish Studies). The lecture elaborated on the fate of the Russian Jewry during the Civil War of 1918-1920. For the first time ever, the lecturer covered participation of the leaders of the Russian Jewry in financial and diplomatic support of the White movement, based on materials from foreign archives. A.I. Solzhenitsyn’s 200 let vmeste (200 years together) from a historian’s point of view Lecturer: Gennady V. Kostyrchenko (Ph.D in History, the author of Tainaia politika Stalina. Vlast’ i antisemitizm (Stalin’s Secret Policy. The Government and Anti-Semitism). The lecture was based on the article entitled Iz-pod glyb veka. O vtoroi chasti knigi A.I. Solzhenitsyna 200 let vmeste (From under the Rocks of the Century. On the Second Part of A.I. Solzhenitsyn’s 200 let vmeste), published in several journals in May-July 2003. Besides, the lecturer critically appraised the latest reactions to Solzhenitsyn’s book, such as those by V. Kadzhaia, S. Reznik, M.Deich, etc. |
