The local hosts in Budapest will be Prof. Andras Kovacs and Dr. Michael Miller from Central European University. The purpose of the workshop is to promote the research and career progress of the Forum alumni. It will focus on effective writing, publication and teaching in our field. The workshop will be "bare-bones" in that it will not include local tours, etc. Rather, we will maximize our limited time in Budapest for professional work, led by the group of senior scholars that includes Professors Dan Diner, Zvi Gitelman, Israel Bartal, and Andras Kovacs. The first session of the International Forum was held at the Dubnow Institute in Leipzig in July 2004. The second session was hosted by the Vilnius Center in July 2005.
